DILMA ROUSSEFF VISITS MARCOPOLO IN 2012 GRAPE FESTIVAL

Brazilian President visited the company booth stand and was given a scale model of the Paradiso 1200 bus

The President of Brazil DilmaRousseff was present in the 2012 Grape Festival opening ceremony, in Caxias do Sul, and visited the Marcopolo stand. Followed by the president of the Board of Directors, Paulo Bellini, members of the Board José Antonio Martins and Valter Pinto, and by the company CEO, José Rubens de la Rosa, in addition to executive directors, was honored with a scale model of the best selling bus, the Generation 7 Paradiso 1200.

During the visit, Dilma also was presented two of the most recent Marcopolo releases, the Viale BRT, latest model developed for the BRT urban transportation system, and the VolareEscolarbus 4X4, first Brazilian four-wheel drive minibus developed for student transportation in the Brazilian countryside, em areas difficult to reach.

In addition to those products, Marcopolo reproduces in its 2012 Grape Festival stand a BRT system bus passenger loading and unloading platform, including the vehicle at the stop. Until March 4th, the visitors can learn about the benefits and the advantages of this important system that may be implemented in many Brazilian cities in the next few years, and that ensures speed, comfort and safety for the passengers.
