ETM ACQUIRES 10 MARCOPOLO PARADISO 1800 DOUBLE DECKER BUSES

The Paradiso 1800 DD will be used in medium and long-distance lines

Marcopolo has recently delivered ten Paradiso 1800 DD (two floors) Generation 7 for the ETM Group - Maullin Transport Company, a leading Chilean company in people transportation operating in that country for over 50 years. The acquisition is part of the ongoing process of fleet renewal carried out by the operator.

According to Paulo Corso, director of commercial operations at Marcopolo, the purchase of buses by ETM highlights the excellent acceptance of Paradiso 1800 DD buses in the international market. "The double-decker buses provide even more comfort, sophistication and convenience to passengers, and are ideal for medium and long distance road bus lines," said the executive.

Equipped with Scania K400 IB6x2 chassis, the vehicles have two different internal layouts: 20 bed reclining seats on the top floor and 12 semi-reclining seats on the lower floor; and 43 bed reclining seats in both floors. All of them have fixed LCD monitors, minibars and liquid heaters, toilet and two options of the Active Scania Safety Pack: the Lane Departure Warning (LDW), which alerts the driver if the bus is off the road, and the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which assists in maintaining the distance from the vehicle ahead.
