Caxias do Sul(RS), March 27, 2014 – José Antonio Valiati is Marcopolo’s new director of Investor Relations. The executive, current Chief Financial Officer, was appointed at the last meeting of the Board of Directors and shall also accumulate the director position of IR from today, March 27. The position was occupied by Carlos Zignani, who will continue to work as statutory director.
With over 33 years at Marcopolo, Valiati built his career in business. He joined in 1980 as responsible for the accounting department and since 2003 has worked as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
With undergraduate degrees in Accounting and in Law from the University of Caxias do Sul, and a graduate degree in Organizational Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo, José Valiati have as major challenges to carry on with the company's investor relations and capital market strategy, in Brazil and abroad. “Marcopolo stands out due to its transparency and the highest standards of corporate governance, adopted more than a decade ago. This relationship with the market and shareholders is a reference and has been crucial to the company's growth and valuing of its actions,” says the executive.
