MARCOPOLO PRESENTS NEW BUS IDEALE CLASS IN CHILE

The 10.3 meters long bus is suitable for charter services in short and medium distance lines.

Marcopolo is a leader in the bus manufacturing industry and it is always developing solutions for the public transport around the world. The company developed the new bus model Ideale Class especially for the Chilean market. The vehicle's main characteristic is its size – 10.300 mm length - the smallest model available in that country.

Presented at the end of the first half of 2015 to more than 700 customers and Chilean transport operators, the new Ideale Class aims to compete with Asian models in this niche market, with the advantage of comfort and sophistication well above the competition.

Suitable for charter service in short and medium distance lines, the Ideale Class can carry 39 passengers. The new model features a pantograph door, air conditioning system and it is particularly designed for the charter segment and inbound tourism. With MAN 15230 OT Euro V chassis, rear engine of 230 horsepower and EV technology - without urea tank (adblue), the model presents the best power/length ratio, which provides greater fuel economy, lower operating costs and higher performance and agility in urban traffic.

"We try to consider all aspects before presenting the new vehicle to Chilean customers. The new Ideale bus is recognized in the market for its quality, comfort, safety and operational advantages. The Class A version has the same characteristics combined with the advantages of a shorter length and higher standards of sophistication," emphasizes the director of business operations of Marcopolo, Paulo Corso.

The new Ideale Class was designed within the most recent concepts of manufacturing, which allows the optimization of its structure with improved inner space utilization, increased structural rigidity, greater comfort, safety, ergonomics and lower operational costs. The vehicle has modern design with LED direction lights, front grid with "beehive" standard grill, front bumper lower grill in injected plastic and fog lamps as optional item.
