MARCOPOLO PROMOTES THE 30th EDITION OF THE MERIT OF HONOR AWARD

Program honors employees for working time dedicated to the company

 

In August, Marcopolo will promote several initiatives for the celebration of its 66 years of activities, which will mainly involve employees, their families and the community of Caxias do Sul. The highlights will be the actions of the 30th Merit of Honor Award and the Employee´s Day.

 

Between August 3 and 20, Marcopolo will develop various events to celebrate the "Merit of Honor" Award, a prize that honors employees who, through work and dedication have been contributing to transform the company into a world leader in its segment. The events will take place in the units of Caxias do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, São Mateus and São Paulo.

 

In its 30th edition, the Merit of Honor Award has been given out to approximately 25,000 employees. This year, 1,441 employees from all units in Brazil, with five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 55 years of work at Marcopolo will be honored. Seventy-nine out of these employees completed 25 years of work in the company and they will be awarded in a celebratory dinner at the Tulipa Restaurant located in the Pavilhões da Festa da Uva in the city of Caxias do Sul on August 14, 2015.

 

Paulo Bellini, President Emeritus of Marcopolo stated that the Merit of Honor Award event has already become a tradition. "The Merit of Honor Award is the way we found to motivate people as well as to recognize their dedication, efforts and their ability to make it happen in our teams.

 

Employee´s Day

 

On August 6, date of the founding of Marcopolo, the company will promote the "Employee´s Day". The event aims to recognize the contribution of all professions that are part of the company through celebratory meals in the company's restaurants, as well as various attractions. The unit of Ana Rech will have the presentation of the Youth Orchestra of the Marcopolo Foundation and the Planalto unit will have the presentation of the Youth Choir of Children of Marcopolo Foundation. Both are part of the Schools Project developed by the Marcopolo Foundation.
