MARCOPOLO RECEIVES THE 2015 EXPORT AWARD

Marcopolo received the 2015 Export Award which is awarded annually by ADVB/RS (Association of Sales and Marketing Leaders of Brazil) in the category  Master Export Journey. The Company stood out among the companies of the State of Rio Grande do Sul and Brazilian companies for the supply of products manufactured in Brazil, with highlight to the export of buses for Latin American countries such as Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, among others. The award was handed out on June 15, during a ceremony held at   Teatro do Bourbon Country, in Porto Alegre. 

 

"The award recognizes Marcopolo’s performance in the foreign market, the result of the continuous efforts of the Company and its Sales Teams to improve its competitiveness abroad. But the award reflects more than this: it shows the company`s ability to go international, even in the face of a scenario that has been difficult for years”, explains Paulo Corso, the Commercial Operations Director of Marcopolo. 

 

With more than 20 thousand employees, Marcopolo has plants in several countries: three in Brazil (two units in Caxias do Sul-RS and one in Duque de Caxias-RJ), and also in South Africa, Argentina, Australia, China, Colombia, Egypt, India and Mexico, in addition to operations in Russia and an interest in the American manufacturer New Flyer. The Company is recognized by its initiatives in the area of exports, investments made in its units in Brazil and abroad, and the constant growth of its operations.

 

The RS Export Award (43rd Edition) highlights and recognizes the companies that have excelled in the foreign market by pursuing strategies aimed at boosting economic growth in Brazil. In the Master Export Journey category, the performance of the largest exporting companies of Rio Grande do Sul has been analyzed.
