MARCOPOLO WINS THE INTERNATIONAL AWARD HERMÈS DE L´INNOVATION 2015

The award was handed out on June 16, in Paris

 

Marcopolo received, on June 16, the International Award  Hermès de I’Innovation 2015, awarded by the European Institute of Creative Strategies and Innovation and by the Paris Club of Directors of innovation. The award distinguishes companies and organizations dedicated to products and services that contribute to the development of society.

 

Marcopolo has earned the Award due to its innovation in the design and production of buses, being the only Brazilian company among the eight award-winning organizations in 2015. The award was received by the Design and Innovation Manager of Marcopolo, Petras Amaral. "We must take advantage of this unprecedented recognition and show to society all the developments and  contributions that the Company, through innovation and technology, has made  for the improvement of mobility, collective transport and for the well-being of society", emphasizes the Executive.

 

Petras Amaral made a presentation about Marcopolo`s program focused on innovation and technology, which includes not only the buses that have been developed, but also the production processes that make the Company more competitive to the advantage of passengers and the community, also in terms of  environmental preservation and sustainability.

 

The European Institute of Creative Strategies and Innovation was founded in 2003 by Marc Giget, a leading expert on innovation in the world. The Institute puts forward ideas and is a center of research, reflection and methodological support to innovation and renewal strategies in Europe and in the world.

 

The criteria used to choose the winners are established by the Institute. The Hermès de Innovation 2015 was handed out during the 8th National Meeting of Innovation Directors, held on June 16 and 17, in Paris. The Meeting brought together around a thousand professionals in innovation and directors of large companies from around the world.
