MARCOPOLO’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCES NEW CORPORATE DIRECTOR-GENERAL

The Board of Directors of Marcopolo announced the appointment of Francisco Gomes Neto as general-director of the company in a meeting held on Thursday, June 25, 2015. The executive will take office on August 3, succeeding José Rubens de la Rosa, who was in office since 2000 and who will take on new personal and professional projects. The change is part of the company's succession process, which is ongoing since 2013.

Francisco Gomes Neto is graduated in Electrical Engineering from UMC-SP (Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes – São Paulo). He also has a specialization degree in Business Administration from FGV-SP (Fundação Getúlio Vargas – São Paulo), MBA in Accounting, Finance and Risk Management from USP (Universidade de São Paulo) and complementary courses at St. John's University in New York, and University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, USA.

Over the past 15 years, Francisco was working at Mann Hummel, where he held the position of America´s Vice President. The main challenges the new executive will face are to give continuity to the growth strategy of the company in the markets in which it operates (national and international), as well as the consolidation of its internationalization program.

According to the President of Marcopolo´s Board of Directors, Mauro Bellini, the choice of the new Director-General is part of the succession process of the company. "The new Director-General was chosen because of his profile, skills and wide international experience, characteristics that are fundamental to the overall business strategy of the company, besides knowing the automotive sector," explains the executive.

To assist in the transition process, José Rubens de la Rosa will temporarily participate at the company´s board meetings and committee gatherings. The executive joined the company in 1997 as Director of Finance, and in 2000, he was appointed Director-General. Since then, its leadership was key to the company's growth and expansion of the internationalization program, as well as for the leadership consolidation in essential markets where it operates.

In these 15 years, Marcopolo has shown resilience and it has increased its performance even amid national and international economic crisis, with superior returns to shareholders. The company has been recognized through several awards, since its operational performance to its innovation and leadership characteristics.

One of the largest bus manufacturers and solution providers in the world of passengers transport, Marcopolo has achieved in 2014, a consolidated net revenue of R$ 3.4 billion. The company has more than 20,000 employees in operations on five continents, in countries such as South Africa, Argentina, Australia, China, Colombia, Egypt, India, Mexico and Russia, as well as participation in the Canadian company New Flyer, a leader in the production of urban buses with factories in the United States and Canada.
