VIAÇÃO ÁGUIA BRANCA UPDATES ITS FLEET WITH MARCOPOLO BUSES

Vehicles feature new design and shades of blue and color created by renowned Brazilian designer Hans Donner

Viação Águia Branca is a leading road transport operator located in the state of Espírito Santo in Brazil. The company has acquired 34 Marcopolo buses: eight units of the model Paradiso 1800 Double Decker and two units of the recently launched Paradiso 1350 and 24 units of Paradiso 1200. The buses will be used for intercity and interstate routes operated by the company.

Considered ideal for transportation in medium and long distance trips, the Generation 7, Paradiso 1200, Paradiso 1350 and Paradiso1800 DD have low operating costs and extreme robustness. The passenger saloon of these buses feature LED lightning with indirect lightning that create a more comfortable and sophisticated atmosphere. The touch operating reading lights are also LEDs. The buses also feature air conditioning with individual outputs and power outlets to headsets and sound control.

The Paradiso 1800 DD buses are built on chassis Mercedes-Benz O 500 RSDD 8x2. They present two types of service and 44 semi-reclining seats on the top floor and six bed-reclining seats on the bottom floor. The vehicles are also equipped with Wi-Fi and individual USB entries as well as power outlets. Movies and music are also available for passengers. 

The Paradiso 1350 models can carry up to 35 passengers also in 28 semi-reclining seats with footrests. The vehicles are also equipped with Wi-Fi, individual outlets and USB standard outlets and provide movies and music. They have pantograph doors with automatic and pneumatic locking, partition wall with sliding doors, multiplex system, restroom facilities, retractable seat belt, cup holders, magazine rack, air conditioning system with individual ducts and heating.

The Paradiso 1200 units are built on Mercedes-Benz O500 RSD chassis and feature 44 semi-reclining seats com footrests.

We want to delight customers with different service options for the journey by providing a better, actual, safer and comfortable service in the road passenger transportation business", says Paula Barcellos Tommasi Correa, the Director of Sales & Marketing of Viação Águia Branca. She highlights that these new releases anticipate the beginning of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the group, which will be celebrated next year.

The vehicles, which are part of the 750 buses of the Viação Águia Branca’s fleet start operating until December 15.

New Identity

In addition to the new buses, Viação Águia Branca brings more novelties: a new identity for the buses painting, which was developed by renowned Brazilian designer Hans Donner. He created the new visual identity of the buses based on the company´s name Águia Branca (white eagle), from which he developed a concept in which the bus seems to grow wings.
